Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has slammed the reports linking him with a move back to taking up the job at Juventus, saying that it is disrespectful towards him and Massimiliano Allegri.
Allegri's position as the manager of the Bianconeri has come under serious scrutiny after a string of lacklustre performances since the beginning of the new campaign.
Juventus find themselves eighth in the points table with just 10 points from seven matches. Their season reached a new low when they were beaten by newly-promoted Monza before the international break.
The Champions League campaign for Allegri also started with two defeats against PSG and Benfica respectively.
Italian media have linked Conte with a return to Turin but the Tottenham boss has brushed aside the links and called them disrespectful, as quoted by Reuters. He also went on to say that he is happy at the club at the moment and will take the right decision about his future at the right time.
"This is disrespectful for the coach that works in Juventus and also disrespectful for me working for Tottenham," Italian Conte told reporters ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday.
"There doesn't exist a right time (to sign a contract). It could be tomorrow. It could be the last day of the Premier League season. The most important thing for me and the club is to understand we want to continue together, to go in the same direction ...
"At the right time, I will take the best decision. At this moment, I'm really happy," said Conte.
Tottenham will be facing off against arch-rivals Arsenal in the North London derby on Saturday as the Premier League returns after the international break. The winner of the match has a chance to go to the top of the Premier League table.
